Four parts of a birth record, read together.
Saju means “four pillars.” Each pillar pairs a heavenly stem with an earthly branch for the year, month, day, and hour of birth.
The day stem is the Day Master. Season, hidden stems, Ten Gods, interactions, symbolic stars, and timing cycles add context around it.

Birth date, civil time, place, and timezone. Unknown time remains unknown.

Longitude and equation of time resolve apparent solar time at the birthplace.
